Why Overpopulation Matters - Part 2 (Psychological research)

Article's dependency: Why Overpopulation Matters - Part 1 (Fact research)

Why? Why does this happen?

Why do these people have so many children?
Why do they "need" so much more people?

When having children doesn't affect your own life freedoms

Imagine you've been born there, in Dhaka (Bangladesh).
Lots of poor uneducated people, lots of arable land, soft weather, easy to survive by backward means.
An explosive combination.

More children, means more hands at work doing manual labor.
Everybody struggles to survive, too have too much people working hard instead of smart.
No one thinks, everybody reproduces like muddy cockroaches wandering off from side to side.

Everybody keeps emulating their peers and the cycle continues.

You've created a perfect loophole of poverty.

Breaking out the loophole

If you really want to attenuate this toxic loophole you need to take out as much people you can from manual labor / primary sector (direct exploitation of natural resources) to the second sector (goods manufacturing) and third sector (service providing).

But you ask yourself, what does the developed world earn with this?
If then, they'll have less cheap labor to exploit?

Too much cheap labor doesn't incent automation and technology development.
Then the west can just delegate such efforts and exploit these people perpetually.

This is a paradigm that doesn't help the concept of "Human Freedom" that I've previously demonstrated.

The faster these countries industrialize and earn better standards of living the faster automation and technology will rise and develop to keep up with demand while trying keep prices and standards of living lowered through the existential competition.

Main push factors for development in 3rd world countries:
  • Industrialization and technique development in agriculture and livestock farming
  • Development of both second and third economy sectors
  • Basic education
  • Access to information (Internet)
  • Tackling foreign labor / resource exploitation and corruption
  • Distribution of power
